Katie Mouat was born and educated in Hawkes Bay and graduated in 1997 from Otago University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Art History and Classical Studies). After practicing as a lawyer in Auckland, her career path over the last 15 years has focused on health sector service improvements at an operational and strategic level for vulnerable groups of people, both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
A work sabbatical in 2013 provided Katie with the opportunity to use her lifetime love of photography to create a visual language to share her vision that a harmonious future may be found by reconnecting with Nature to rediscover our eternal origins.
Katie has held a solo exhibition of her works at Eden Garden, Auckland in 2014 and participated in local community group art shows in this city, where she lives and works combining both business and creative worlds.
Muse Art Gallery in Havelock North selected Katie Mouat as one of their feature artists. Katie's solo exhibition 'Reconnection...A Beginning' was held from 25 May - 7 June 2017.
